FYI: Two corrections to the article, the steering column is from Flaming River not Ididit, and the rear air brake is activated electronically rather than with air.

  1. I love the Fairlane build. I had a ’66 and ironically, was raised around Midget racing, with my Dad building his own 4-bar Midgets and TQs. So, I love the incorporation of the torsion bar suspension and the SOHC engine. Very sweet ride. The other similarity is that my first ride, provided by my dad was a 1957 Red/White Ford Country Sedan station wagon. The difference from the ’57 Del Rio build being mine was a 4-door.
